So I was looking into getting one of those get a grip climbing wall things. Then I saw the price and I almost freaked out. Seriously. For a small one it was like $90 or something. I mean come on. So I looked on ebay and couldnt find any. Well I did find like hammocks and stuff. So I emailed the seller to see if it was treated cotton rope or what. I havent gotten a response yet. But it was like buy it now price of $20 and $15 or $20 shipping. But hey that is alot cheaper. Do you think it would work. Like you could cut the size you wanted, and use S/S hardware, then you can get two for half the price of one. Like give one to someone else. I mean I am not sure. The rope may not be big enough. But I thought it sounded like a good idea. Or does anyone know how to make these things or at least where to get them cheaper.

Thanx- Correna

Where did you find the right rope and stuff. Just like at Lowes or what???
Quincy's Slave
I think the real ones are made of Abaca rope, so you would want to make sure to use something similiar, non toxic and non treated

You could use jute or sisal or even all cotton if you can find it the right size. But making those is very labor intensive so be fore warned.

Does anyone have any suggestions on making them? Did you just knot them up, how big did you cut your lengths first, how many linear feet of rope did it take? I would very much like to try this !!!
