If you didn' know quakers love cooked recipes.This is my quaker,Gismos favorite.Make sure you heat or thaw it before giving it to them.I mix it in with the pebbles but you dont have to.Respond if you have any questions or any other good recipes.


1 cup of whole wheat flour
1 cup of yellow corn meal
2 tsps of baking powder
3/4 tsps of salt
1/2 tsps of baking soda
1tbs of sugar
2 eggs with shells
3 tbs of oil of your choice
1 cup of buttermilk
Grease an 8 inch pan with pam.Mix dry ingredients.Wash eggs then pulverize in blender.Mix in oil and buttermilk then mix in dry ingredients.Bake for 30 min on 350 degrees.Cool and cut into small squares and freeze.It lasts a very long time.

We do have a favorite recipe sub forum on the diet and health forum ..I will get someone to move this there O.K..

looks Yummy but I think I would leave out the salt ..and could you tell me what do you mean when you say you Mix itin with the pebbles..???

Sorry Majj but i havent checked this forum for a while.What i mean is i put the bread right in with the pebbles.I should have made it more clear.

Pebbles? What kind of pebbles do you mean? Or, is that pellets, maybe? Sorry, I'm confuesed blink.gif

That sounds good. Thanks. I can't wait to try it. It sounds similar to other recipes that use the Jiffy mix, and it seems we're always out of it when I want to make it!
