Click to view attachmentHere is a picture of the playstand my kids and I made for Wasabi this past summer. We wanted one but didn't want to pay the high price for one and it bacame a family project! It was fun and very inexpensive. We used the shower board that you get from Lowes or Home Depot for the bottom. It's really cheap and they will cut it for you there. It wipes off quick and easy too! We used dowel rods and small screws for all of the other things. The kids used some wooden blocks we purchased at Big Lots and made a play area. We even made the ladder ourselves too. Then added a hanging toy from the top perch that we bought. We painted everything with a food coloring mixture. Wasabi really likes it and we enjoyed making it for her! My favorite part was learning to use the tools! biggrin.gif

Heres the finished product!

You really did a great job on that. It looks even better than the ones the sell in the stores, a LOT better. What a cute idea.

One question... if he gets his feet wet, do you see little blue footprints everywhere? happy.gif

Well....yeah...that is the drawback! Everytime I wash the dowel rods they lighen in color! Should have mentioned that! blush.gif It doesn't look that vibrant now.

Guess we could just repaint it on a rainy day!

Good work.Im speaking for Wasabi as well

Awww! Thanks you guys! We ended up with less that $10 put into the whole thing plus it was FUN and rewarding. I like it because we can move it around the house so the fids can be wherever we are!

I think I am going to steal your idea except I am going to use that wood coloring stuff that doesn't wash off It will be fun and easy I hope.
~Wasabi~
Steal away! That's what the thread is for! You just have to share your creation is the only drawback! wink.gif

OMG I LOVE it.........I'm not that good with wood.........is there any chance that you would make one to sell me? I want to duplicate it exactly it is awesome. But I prefer natural wood and not colored.

Are you sure you don't want to go in the business of making these?????
