Ill add a couple pictures of some junk I threw together. I cant find the pictures of the other thingy majigs so Ill have to retake them and add them another time.. I am working on a project that is much larger scaled.. something along the lines of 6 foot long by 4 foot wide, but Im not gonna give the details of the adventure till its finished tongue.gif

umm lets see if I can remember...

i think I do..

the toy in the second picture is made of cut up blue jeans, T shirts and colored straws.

Cut the straws into halves, and then folded each one in half and and made a small slit in the middle. Rand the strand of denium through the slit in the straw threaded it up then tied a short piece of denium between each straw. you can turn the straws to be in different directions as well as tie the denium or cloth pieces so they come out in different directions.

after the straws I tied a knot in the piece of deniem the straws are connected to. Then i took random length strands of cut up deniem and did the same at the straws. Folded them in half, cut a slit and threaded them through the main denium piece that the straws are threaded through. When you are threading the cut of fabric pieces be sure and alternate the direction you place them or it turns out funky. when youve got enough fabric pieces added to suit your fancy then tie a couple knotts and cut any excessive length that might be remaining. turn it up right shake it a bit and do any trimming of strings you may want/need to do.. I was bored so I cut shapes and designs into the edges of the hanging pieces.

the second toy was 2 foot of 1 guage insulated wire, tape, sisal bundling rope, and 2 plastic coke bottle lids.

The other toy was 1 guage insulated wire..
Because I couldnt find stainless steel core wiring I wrapped the wire completely with a layer of tape. then I took elmers glue ( non toxic ) and put a thin layer on about two inches and strarted wrapping sisal bundling rope. Did that till you could see no more wire insulation. and then did a second layer.. On the ends of the wire I attached plastic bottle caps just to slow them from getting through the sisal rope to where the tape was.. I drilled holes through the middle of the bottle caps, tied a strand of the rope around the toy and knotted it a few times then run it through the hole in the bottle cap. Pulled it down really hard and tied several ( 5 or 6 ) knotts on the other side of the bottle cap then i took the end of the strand and tied it to another piece on the toy to make it tight. Then I took more sisal rope and relayered the end of it to cover the strands I used to fasten the caps to the ends. To hang it I took a plastic zip tie and threaded it through the strand coming from the top of the bottle cap and made a loop.

Anyways that my story and Im sticking to it smile.gif

Those are some neat toys.

Now that one that's 6' X 4' is that a foot toy or will it hang in the cage? tongue.gif
