[i]How do you add a picture of your fid into a picture you like ??
~Wasabi~
I hope someone answers! I want to know too! huh.gif

You can do it with lots of different programs such as paint , actual draw, paintshop pro!

Signature pictures have to be hosted somewhere else on the web.
  1. Go to http://www.photobucket.com and sign up for a free acocunt.
  2. Upload the picture.
  3. When you see the picture that you uploaded, you will see some text fields below the picture. one of them is marked "URL". Click into that field.
  4. Now the URL is copied to your computer's clipboard. (You can't see it but it's there.)
  5. Come back here and click " My Controls" at the top of any page.
  6. Choose "Edit Signature".
  7. Click into the text area and click on the button that has a tiny green tree on it. (It's at the top of the text area)
  8. You'll be asked for the URL you copied at photobucket.com .
  9. Click into that field and while holding down your "Ctrl" button, press the letter "v". That will paste the URL into the field.
  10. You'll know what to do from there.

The easiest way is in paint open the picture you want in paint then drag a bigger white area and click on edit and select paste from and get your fids picture use the crop tool to take out the back ground and slid the picture of your fid into the photo...or do the fid picture first and reduce the size ..then click on edit paste from and get the photo from your files it will open up in paint also then add the cropped photo of your fid....
Just fiddle around it will take a while but you will soon learn how to do it...

Nope didn't work. You have to go to "my controls" and then, actually if you follow QPDad's instructions, it will take you right there

Trying a signature.

I am not having much luck. I went into control, then to edit signature, clicked the little tree, copied the url, but it doesn't seem to be working. UGHHHHHH!!!! sad.gif mad.gif
brandylaw
lets see if i can post it....

zoohouse
I am trying again.
brandylaw
You may want to downsize it a bit....so folks can see it in one glance.
JMO.
But it looks fabulous!!!

So what am I doing wrong. You were able to post it.
Quincy's Slave
I think you're pasting the URL code, you need to paste the IMG code instead, try that
brandylaw
hey zoohouse....
try this....
i see that you have the letters IMG after the link in black print.

Go in and delete those three letters with the brackets and the slash.....that
may fix it
i love my gabbie girl
wow!!
zoohouse
OK here I go again.
brandylaw
well crap!
I thought I had hit on the problem. mad.gif

Hmmm..........

I finally figured out what I did wrong. I had copied the http// and it was already there. So I cut that out and voila. I also sized it down a bit, but do you think it should be smaller?
QPdad
Actually you should have the [img] tag before the URL and leave the ending /img tag where it is. (I can't use the brackets in both instances or this post would show the image.)

What happened was that you accidently removed the opening tag.
brandylaw
Hey it worked!!

Great job!!!

Yeah I have done that same thing....double http's rolleyes.gif

Personally I like to see everyone's siggys in one shot, without having to scroll width wise....but that is me.

I dont know if you would be able to squish it in.

Do you have to scroll to see the whole siggy? I have a pretty big screen, but I wouldn't have thought that that would make a difference. I can see the whole thing with out scrolling at all. Anyway, thanks everyone for helping me. I have been busy working on cutting out animals from pictures I have taken, so that I can paste them on other pictures. It is slow going, but I am learning something new each time, and am getting faster. I have Photoshop Elements 4.0, and The Print Shop 2, with this new Mac. I use to have a PC with PrintMaster Premier, and Photo Suite. So I am learning all things over again. Well at least I am exercising my brain, and that might delay the Alzheimers a year or two.

I can see the whole thing just fine now
