Robby is FINALLY using his happy hut I made him, about 2 weeks ago....This morning I woke up got ready for work, and pulled his blanket off the cage, and there sits Robbie in his happy hut sleeping....Im so proud of Robbie:) he finally liked it...tonight I was getting ready for bed , put Robbie in his cage, 1/2 hour later looked into his cage, he was in his happy hut grinding his beak, and I think that means he was tired...so I put his blanket over him and he is in bed...Im so happy he finally liked what mommy made for him..Ill send you pictures tomrow as I am on my husbands computer in the living room..YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FOR ROBBIE AND HIS HAPPY HUT!!!!!!

Maya won't use one either. Maybe you just make a better design than the store bought one we tried. Good for Robbie.

Maya likes to sleep on a platform. She is starting to warm up the the rock perch I got from Birdontherocks. I'm pretty sure that will be her new roosting spot.
Sandi Kiwis Mom
YaY for Robbie......Kiwi has always slept in his.

I love the htu you made for Robbie. Did you use a towel? Id'e like to make Pico one. I have looked for a bed for him in the pet stores and didn't like the design of any of them. So I will make him one like yours Michele. Thanx For Sharing.

well actualy it is fleece but you can use a towel I suppose....I cut out how big I wanted it....then got a piece of plastic canvas for the floor.folded the fleece in two...(.you can find the plastic canvas in the craft aisle.)...then I sewed in the piece of plastic so the bird couldnt get to it...and then just sewed up some ric rac for the hangers.....now I have to figure out how I can wash it without breaking the plastic..I might have to do it by hand but it is no big deal....

Glad I gave you a good idea
