i just finished it today, i got the idea off the web, cleo isnt to sure bout it, but she does like pickin at the beads, now i just need to color it, but i am not sure how, i heard i could use regular food coloring, how do i mix it, or what do i mix it with, i heard to put a little vinegar in it? any suggetions

I use kool-ade to color don't add the sugar of course biggrin.gif

Several ways to color the wood...I use wiltons food coloring. but you can use any food coloring or Koolaid...

If you have already glued things together I'd get some reg food coloring that comes in red blue green and yellow...and if you want more colors you can always mix them to make orange purple etc... But take the liquid and use a paint brush and just paint it on and let it try. If you can still take it apart I'd mix up a bowl of color and mix it with warm water and let the pieces of wood soak in the desired color for a couple hours at least or over night and then take them out and let them dry off

Im going to be asking Hubby to make HAUKU one for Christmas.. cheeper than buying I think??? biggrin.gif
