My husband and I both work at a local high school and we were off for Spring Break last week. We took a big road trip with the kiddos, dogs, and of course, Hemingway. It was his first trip and he did great.. went to Grandma's house and got spoiled. Well all good things must come to an end as they say and today we all went back to work. Ooohh.. did we come home to a mad little man. He was so irritated and nippy.. Hopefully he will mellow out in the next couple days as we get into the swing of things. Any hints on how to help him deal with these vacation issues? I know we need to try not to spoil him with his time out/with us during time off but it is so hard since we are homebodies and he is used to being out when we are home. (He'd gotten the hang of our work week and weekend schedule.) We need to make a plan for the summer!

yep he had such a good time on vacation that he doesn't want everybody to go back to work.... He will probably be ok after the routine gets back to normal....

Mine does the same thing. After a few days she remembers the schedule and goes back to normal. Yesterday My huband got her out and she was really nippy with him. She was upset because our attention has been diverted for the last few days. He just told her to get over it and worked it out with her. She immediately decided that it was cool.

Come to think of it... I'm a little "nippy" also when vacation time is over! But alas, I always return to reality in a couple of days. I bet Hemingway will also. Hope you guys had a great time. Sounds like ya did!
