Hi everyone,
My name is June and I am a newbie. Hope I am doing this right. I have a Dusky Pionus Named DEDE, 2 Linnies- (Tinker and George) and a Cockatiel --(Fred). 6 weeks ago I adopted my first Quaker (Pacco) who is 2 years old...He came from a good home and he seems to be a nice bird but he never stops squawking it is constant all the time even when he is out if his cage ! The only time he is quiet is when I am right beside him talking to him.. it sounds like I have a crow in my living room like Caw,Caw,Caw on and on. He is quiet at night when he is covered and he sleeps 11 to 12 hours. I have tried changing his position in the room. My other birds have their 10 minute or so noisy time night and morning but this is constant. Any suggestions? Ignoring him doesn't help.
He will not step up yet but that will come and he says quite a few things. I am sure there is an answer to this but I don't know what. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
