Last week I had 2 eggs to hatch but I thought they were 2 or 3 days early and I think mom was not feeding them anyway after less than 24 hours they died. Sat the last egg hatched (on time) so I never have hand fed or seen a baby hand fed. But I decided I couldn't do any worse than mom. So far baby is eating, chirping and starting to hold his head up some. Alittle while ago I noticed his belly looks dark purple. Is this normal. Please keep my sweet baby in your thoughts and prayers I love him so much. Hubby has been so great helping with feeding and making a little incubater to keep him or her warm. If ya'll havve anything I need to know please let me know.. Thanks Di

Sorry I am just reading this post..And sorry to hear about your babies.
I know it's been several days since your post, but just wanted to say that you should contact a vet or someone who will show you the correct and best way to feed these babies..if you feed formula too cold, you will get sour crop, too warm and you can burn the crop, too much and you can cause all kinds of problems..It's not just a matter of giving them some food..from what I understand, you have to feed them several times a day, around the clock at first. These are very important things to know.
