Hubby came home last night with mirrored doors to replace the destroyed door in the birds room. Not thinking twice we installed them...Shelby and Sebastion FLIPPED! Their cage is right across from the closet...at first they talked and played with the birds in the mirror but after about an hour..they had enough of the mirror friends watching them.
Started screaming and flapping like crazy. With both birds flapping their massive wings...papers, envelopes and other odds and endsm from the computer desk were flying all over the room LOL Looked like a tornado hit the bird room smile.gif
I opened the cage door to calm them and Sebastion launched himself at the door..preparing for attack. He wound up on the floor..upset and shaking sad.gif
Needless to say those doors came down within minutes! Hubby shaking his head saying "dam birds are running this house!...and you want another one!" I think me and the fiddies better be extra sweet to him in the days to come...he seems to be getting a bit aggravated at us tongue.gif

I hope your birdies are all settled down now. It is too bad about the doors and all the work put in hanging them. Yep you better be sweet to hubby...LOL

As soon as the closet doors came down, they began to calm.I took then on the couch for a few extra scritches while hubby took down the doors.[
When I went to put them to bed...Sebastion started to jump from my arm to get away..but when he seen those big mean mirror birdies were gone he was ok.

Awww...poor babies. I hope the doors didn't cost to much. Maybe you can paint them or something so that they're not so scary?

Tim says the same thing about our birds. He complains, but I think he really does like them...LOL.

They are worth it smile.gif I have so enjoyed having them.I believe if they had been better socialized as babies alot of our troubles would not be what they are.
I have pretty much figured out that for the 2 1/2 years thay have been alive, they spent much of their time in one room,,with little contact with anyone besides the person who raised them.
As big as they are they are little chickens LO scared of everything at first wink.gif
The closet door was my fault LOL I shoulda locked that cage door blush.gif

I know hubby cares about our fids smile.gif He just is amazed at times with the level of commitment and care I give them. But he knows how much they mean to me smile.gif
