Hey, it's spring and she doesn't care who knows about it.

This may help some with birds that haven't quite reached maturity yet, or those with new birds, understand what their bird is doing at this time of year. It's just the raging hormones, and it's perfectly natural.

Maya is quiet tho!!! Petey is so loud when he goes to town and he always seems to get in the mood just when I am ready to eat something.

I think the camera may have interupted her moment. Without the camera she is still fairly quiet. She is silent for the first couple of minutes, then squeeks for a bit with a final squawk at the end. She then takes a few minutes to regain her composure.

LOL I've been thinking about getting a vid of Peanut and his friends but decided not to. maya is extremely quiet, peanut is sooooooooo loud and then he walks funny for a few sec after like he can't get his balance!

Never had her DNA'd, so she could be a male. She does sort of back up to it, but gets her tail over the top of the bottom rung on the ladder and rubs her "area" on the rung. She doesn't seem to really mount it though. You think it looks like male behavior?
