Buttons said her first real word this morning. After having given up all hope of her talking, she actually said "good morning" this morning as I was rushing around the house trying to leave for work after getting up late. I was actually ironing when I heard her say it and nearly burned my fingers off. I say "good morning" to her and Cooper every morning when I take their cage covers off. Cooper's been talking for two months now but Buttons just said her first word and I'm so thrilled!! She's been making new noises lately too. At first I thought she was learning to mimic Cooper and my canary, but now I wonder. Anyway, just thought I'd share. I'm so excited to hear her say it again and find out what she's going to say next!!!

Yogi said "ogi" today, and I couldn't wait to get to work to tell everyone lol. People at work (aside from my boss who is also a bird nerd) think I'm nuts lmbo

by the way.. do y'all get called anything cute (only a bird person would think it cute) like "Bird Nerd" rofl.

I told my boss we need to get t-shirts that say "Bird Nerd..and proud of it"
