Full Version: Lulu Is Doing Great

Sarah Lou
I have not been on for awhile. We have had Lulu six months now. She is a rescue from our backyard in Florida. The Avain Vet said she was one to three years old. She is still not talking much. Once in a while I hear her practicing her words. She has said hello and nite-nite. I wonder if it is because my husband is retired and has music or the television on all of the time.

Her favorite toy is a roll of toilet paper. A large roll last her about a month. She shreds it to pieces and then chews on the cardboard center. It keeps her busy most of the time.

She still goes after hubby every chance she gets. He talks to her alot but she is definately a one person bird. I wish she would go to him but he will not try to handle her because the bites hurt.

We are leaving next week for several months and I am hoping she adapts to the motor home and a smaller cage. We have had her out for a week several times and she did o.k.

She is very cuddly and sweet to me and we have grown to love her. Lol

good to hear everything is going well. We travel all over in our Motor Home with 2 birds and they do quite well. The only thing I do is take out their "swingy things" so they don't get hurt and make sure they are where they can both see us. My hubby has music on most of the time and both of the birds love that as they start talking and jibbering.
