Anybody heard of this?? They sent me something with one of the avian medicine books, but I had never heard of it. It looks great, and I'm seriously tempted to try it with all of them. If none of y'all have heard of it, does anyone use the 'organic' food for their fids? If so, which one? It got my attention because it said it could help treat overweight birds and underweight, sounds almost like a cureall.....

They? I'm assuming you mean the Harrison Co....
I have Harley on Harrison's Adult Lifetime Fine pellets and I think it is organic...Isn't all their food organic...I'm not sure...Harley has been on these pellets a long time....

Harrisons is pretty much top of the Line bird food in my opinion. I don't feed my FIDS that food that is because they are on Zupreme and were weaned on Zupreme years ago. I guess I am just lazy because I haven't tried to change them.

Harrison's is probably the best there is. Unfortunately Quincy thinks it was made by the devil and won't touch it

I buy Harley's Harrison's out of a place in Georgia for $6.00/1 lb bag.....
If anyone wants the name of the place, I'll be glad to provide it....

All of my fids are on Harrison's and they converted to it pretty easily. It is a very good bird food. Zupreem is good to.
I think that the Zupreem tastes a little sweeter than Harrison's which may be why some birds prefer zupreem. Yes I HAVE tasted them.
Check with your local vets to see if they sell it. Some of the avian vet's in my area sell it. I find it more convenient to get it from my vet than the internet.

Thanks!! I'm gonna try to convert them all. Khirsah's a bit on the tubby side, so I have to try something.
I'm gonna look into the Zupreem too, because it's gonna be a hard enough sell for Ryan. Right now, I mix each of theirs to suit the individual needs, but apparently I'm not too good at it when it comes to Khirsah.

my Aviary vet recommended us using Harrisons pellets for OZZY, but thats the only pellets he sells....he did give us a sample..and also told us were gonna have a heck of a time converting OZZY to pellets cause he is on a seed diet right now...but soon he will be on pellets hopefully sooner than later....I got my Quaker parrot off seeds and on pellets in 3 days..yeahhhhhhhh...pray I can do that for my CAG...

Harrison's is an excellent pellet. Our CAG is on Harrison's High Potency Coarse ... Sméagol (quaker) eats around them and prefers Hagen's Lifetime granules ..

Thanks!! I feel that I need to do something, and in light of all the other 'organic' things around, I was always hesitant, seeing how each bird needs something different, but now, I know Khirsah needs to lose a little weight.
