ok well today i went to see the breeder and i couldnt belive how emaculate her aviaries and her birds were! so she took my to go and see the quaker babies.... and my little guy and i fell in love i had to have him so she told me to leave her $100 then send her the rest of the money in the post next week so now i have my new QP i will post pics asap.

he is so friendly! even there when he didnt no me he wanted scritches and just to be with me and he is the same at home! he hasnt eating much i feed him some apple but i no that is normal if he dosnt eat anything tomorrow maybe il ring her and see what i can do.

If he has any problem finding his food you might have to put some near the bottom of the cage for awhile. As you said though, it's probably just the newness of the situation.

Is he totally weaned? If not, did you get some food from the breeder? in any case did they give you some of whatever he's eating? Just watch closely to be sure he eats and drinks water.

what should i do he dosnt seem to eat his pellets he will eat sunflower seeds if i put them in there but he refuses to eat his pellets what should i do!

Sunflower seeds are not good for QP they are fatty...all the birds love them. Try mixing other seeds with the pellets, but not too many.

Try taking the pictures farther away..I think you were just a little too close...

Sunflower seeds are the worst to give your quaker..Quakers are prone to fatty liver disease and these seeds are very fatty...Have you tried fresh foods? Maybe try some baby food(human) in the jar and mix the pellets with some of the apricots, pears, peaches or applesauce...That worked for me...
The human baby food is a good think to hand feed them too..let him try different things...kinda cheap to do too...don't give too much of anything other than pellets though, because you want him/her to get his nutrients. Try brocolli, cooked and raw (Gabby loves the stems, where, in fact is most of the nutrients in brocolli)...apples, bananas(not too much because of sugar content)

yep i no the seeds are no good but i only give him a certain amount mixed with tones of fruit. he dosnt seem to eat his pellets but he is getting there.
