Kay. So now we can't find a place up there that doesn't have a wood burning stove. So now I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with them? If so, what knda of wood do you burn that won't hurt the fids???

Urrrgggg....

Hmmmmm my understanding is is that if the fireplace or wood stove is up to standards (meaning that you've had it inspected) then there shouldn't be any issues with using it around birds. The smoke should not enter the house at any time.

is there a special kind of wood??

How long do i have to wait until it's safe if the place has been painted?? or carpet?

What about the space heaters? I know that one's been asked a lot, but I can't remember at the moment. I know it's not safe until quite literally the 'new' has worn off of it.
