Hello to all, I have been reading on here for some time & decided it was time to join. We have 1 quaker Eyor (sex and age unknown thought to be about a year old), a Goffin Cockatoo named Casper (we rescued her in Dec. vet thought her to be about 20), a budgie, Bonnie Prince (it was just Bonnie until she turned out to be a he! will be a year old in June) an Iggy I rescued about 3 years ago named Carrie(4' long thought to be about 7), one BIG fish Mr. pink a flowrerhorn that was a rescue from a friends store, 2 tanks of africans and 2 dogs, a pitt bull named Piggy and a retriever mix, Goofy, I rescued about 7 years ago.
Eyor and Bonnie are buddies going from cage to cage with the help of a ladder (they taught themselves how to get up so they could visit, I did not want to force the issue). Mt 'too is my latest addition and has me laughing from morning til night, Eyor is the instigator & Bonnie thinks he's 10 feet tall & loves to ride around on Piggys back (pitt bulls are so agressive & mean).
I have taken in just about every kind of animal sence I was a kid but I have recieved the most love & affection from my birdy babies. I belong to a bird club/rescue and will probley adopt more feathered kids in the years to come, I couldn't enjoy anythig better than day with my birds.

I am in Romulus but I may me moving soon. I am not looking forward to moving all the animals! especially the Iggy cage is built in her room so that will be fun taking it down. Do you belong to any bird clubs? I can see I will be adicted to this site.

No not yet! I've been wanting to go to a bird fair but haven't heard of any in the area as of yet.

There was a bird fair last Saturday at Romulus High school and there is one coming up in the next month or so. I think it is Warren but I can check & make sure and post the date. My felings about the bird shows are kind of mixed. I really enjoy them but I wonder how long it will be before the birds bought on impulse end up in a rescue.
The club mets the last Sunday of the month in Garden City, I can email you more info if you would like.
