Paulie bit me today on the face. It is the first time in about a year or so since he bit me. It was a "If you don't pay attention to me you will get another one just like it on the other jaw line" bite. I am sad and hurt but know he didn't mean to hurt me he just wanted my undivided attention.





I am going to be bruised on top of the chunks missing top and bottom of beak marks. It's not pretty!

How could I not try to pick him up again. He was scared to death and wouldn't step up so I just gave him tickles. God bless his little heart. What has he been through in his life to make him so distrustful and Jumpy. He will jump a person before they have a chance to know what hit them. When I say jump, he physically jumps and attacks with every ounce of fire he has.

Exactly what you said though, Paulie has been doing so good. Sorry to hear he got you, but these things can happen, even with the best of them.

Who ever owned him taught him to play on people's sympathy's. I know there is no way he understood "I'm Sorry Mommy" but he said it with such feeling it really makes you wonder. Paulie is so human like in so many ways I some times forget he is a parrot.

Cheryl God love him!! Precious fid is he ever precious! (well not the biting part!) Its the little things that make it all worth the while....

No scar, little bruised and a good puncture hole top and bottom where beak was. The top is the worst. It don't hurt this morning. It did all night. Had a hell of a time sleeping.

hey, my milo has gotten me a couple of times. i hate it! it seems to take forever for it to go away when it's on your face i wish i too knew what makes him just react so fast. he's bad about being on my shoulder and all of a sudden, when i'm not paying attention, (and i guess thats it)he just bites me. i know it's not a good idea about him being on my shoulder but thats how we started out and i'm slowly trying to get him to ride and sit lower on my arm. i got him from a pet store when he was just a few monhts old and he is my first bird. i was told to get a baby and there would be less bites but, i wanted him! he was hand raised by a girl in the pet store. i dont know what diffrence it makes? sometimes he will just out of the blue take off running at me and pull my hair. it's cute but scares me.
Paulie must be a doll baby to say i'm sorry like that!!

Man, That really stinks. Our little green monster kind of snaps like that sometimes too. He'll be doing really well like yours, then I'll be holding him and he'll instantly switch from angel to devil with no warning nor provocation. I agree with Harley's Mom - "I do wonder what goes on inside these little minds of our birdies....". This time of year, though (from what I understand), their little hormones are raging and that can make the kind of crazy.
