Is it okay to feed sunflower seeds that are in a mixture such as the Kaytee brands??
Andie's Mom
Just keep in mind that sunflower seeds are very high in fat...Quakers are prone to fatty liver disease. Not to say they can't or shouldn't have any...just limit it and not give them a lot everyday...make seed a treat, not a mainstay. Or at least that's what my vet says

Definitely keep them to a minimum in your baby's diet, but they won't hurt. Personally, I am so paranoid about Liam getting fatty liver disease that he gets no seed at all except for a couple of pumpkin seeds as a treat.
