I saw the cutest little GCC today and I was wondering how big they get? How loud are they? How long do they live? What kind of dispostion do they have? I'm truely not going to get this one I'm just wondering. I'm am full up now. He was the cutest thing.

The quietest of the conures. They can be socialized to more than one person. Low talking ability....trainable.....sweet....friendly........
My Layla, (or should I say my son's) has bonded to me and my oldest son. He's her fav. She cuddles inside his t'shirt...plays peek.....blows bubbles in her bath water....has claimed one fav toy in her cage (a bell that she rings for attention). Layla has learned to dance and says Peek.
Gcc's don't have the loud calls that other conures exhibit...they're not terribly territorial...and "can" socialize with other birds.

Wow! this one was so sweet he climbed up his bars so he could perch on my finger then he bit me. Not hard just the beaking thing.

They are adorable! I have three babies right now, and I tell you what...the more I play with them, the more I like them. LOL SUPER PERSONABLE!!!

Some can be quite nippy. Loco will bite to get you to do what he want's, which is usually a scratch. He won't play with our other birds. Tolerates them, but won't play. He can also get screechy. Not loud like a Cockatoo, or as high pitched as a Sun Conure, but still pretty loud when he wants to be.

He is, however a true joy to be around. Just watching him and his zest for life, fearlessness, and high energy goings on are a constant form of entertainment. And when he settles down for a snuggle, he can be sooo sweet.

So, like most birds, there are pluses and minuses.

hehehe mines started out sweet, but he's very nippy i already have people asking me about the cuts on my fingers. he's getting very loud.. and im trying to work on that....

i guess it depends on the bird and the amount of socialization with people too. when i got him he was only with two other birdies. so yeah.. i still love him though my fingers dont..lol

Little Gidget isn't nicknamed "Little Chit" for nothing....LOL
She tries to keep up with Kiwi as far as the loudness factor.....now Kiwi and Gidget almost sound like each other. Gidget talks some and yes she also has a favorite toy that she constantly plays with......She Loves baths, very much and she loves to shred. Gidget can be a little nippy but she is getting better at it. She also hates FEET. I found out....
