Hi everybody!

I arrived to your amazing forum about two weeks ago and I just can't stop reading your posts ohmy.gif . I'm complitely hooked!

I'm a 27 y.o. girl ( wink.gif ), from Finland and I've just reasently found the world of birds. After this short reaserching period (about a month), I'm convinced, that within a year, I'll have a bird. I'm not sure yet what kind of a bird he/she will be, but it seriously looks like I'm falling in love with quekers wub.gif. Of course it depends also on the only breeder, that we have here, because I wouldn't dream of starting my birdlife without a support of a good breeder. And on that, if he sees me fit to take care of a baby quaker unsure.gif .

Right now I'm living with my 2 y.o. belgium hare (a rabbit) called Juuso and we're thinking of moving to a different town next fall, so that's one reason why I can't take a bird yet. I want us to be settled in first before a new baby comes in... Maeby it's better to have some thinkingtime anyway and read more about birds.

So, I just wanted to say hi to you all and thanks for this forum. I'm sure I'll be spending hours and hours here tongue.gif .

Cheers,

Katja

Welcome!!
It's always better to make a well informed choice, especially when choosing a pet with a long lifespan/discerning living conditions/ never mind the fit issues with the demand on your time.
I wish you luck in the quest for your new fid
Cheers

Hi Katja and welcome!!!

I want to commend you for doing your research. The rewards of having such an intelligent little creature in your life are great but so are the responsibilities.

As you have found out, this forum is a wonderful place for gaining information and sharing ideas with wonderful people.

Yep, I know of him. He's the one I was talking about smile.gif . All the babies, that have been born now, have allready been spoken for, but I wouldn't have been ready for a baby yet anyway... It's nice though to know someone I can ask questions in Finnish.
