blink.gif , wow! i'm learning fast that these guys hate change!
i decided to trim my 6 week growth today but made the mistake of not lettin squeak see my face afterwards, to make matters worse, i decided to get a rather shorter than normal haircut today as well, NEVER AGAIN! ,
when i got home i let sqeak out the cage and proceaded to give her the usual head & belly scratch when she took me by suprise and latched hold of my finger like a queensland mud crab.(it's autumn over here in oz so it ain't hormonal.)
needless to say i got a similar shun from squirt when i went downstairs but after a few hours they have both realised it's still me but just a little bit more respectable lookin. when the cook got home , squeak squirt greated her as normal
dry.gif .
i have even noticed if i wear bright shirts ,they are more reluctant to sit on the shoulder .
hopefully i'll get the camera sorted soon an post some photos of tha little blokes ,

guess I'm fortunate. The only change Sydney doesn't like is hats, and towels on your head... or fingernail polish. I can wear my hair up... I can wear my glasses... I can wear jewlery, and he doesn't care. Just don't wear fingernail polish or approach him with a hat or towel on your head.

laugh.gif Sorry about the bite....Yep, any changes that are made on your body, i guess you learned you have to proceed with caution...I know that bite didn't feel good... tongue.gif

These little guys are very observant and if they don't like something they surely will let us know...

Just this past week I was in a dress for a change and happened to have Harley to put him back in his cage...At the same time he sure looked me up and down and then reached down and bit the **** out of me....

LOL could not be closer to the truth... My belief is half of these guys have reactive attachment disorder and the other half have borderline personality disorder... Where is the middle ground?? Is there one?? Hmmm betcha we will never know. Sure keeps life entertaining though. Just keep bandaids ready blink.gif

Georgie doesn't like me if I don't have my glasses on. I don't know why. Maybe it's because when we got her I had my glasses on.

She doesn't like caps either....or towels on the head.

I have had Kiwi for 7 years and he still lets me know that he DOES NOT like my hair WET...Silly bird....

They all have their quirks. They can get over them though. Loco used to just freak out when he saw just about anything RED. He has no problems with it now though. However I have learned the hard way not to pick up the phone with him on me. He doesn't like having competition for my attention with the phone, and will let me know in no uncertain terms.

Hemingway absolutely hates it when I wear a hat. (Funny to hear that he is not the only one). I am such a big dummy.. the other day I had my hat on and walked thru the den. I noticed as I approached Hemingway that he had his beak open and I began to worry something was wrong. I approached.. beak still open.. I reached out to get him to step up.. beak open more & distressed looking (I was more worried by this point). He stepped up immediately and then TORE into me. He made his MAD sound and really let me have it. Upon hindsight, he was not in distress/sick but raging mad and getting ready to attack the wacko lady with the hat on-- durrr mommy!

It must be just a bird thing with the phone...I remember the first time (and last) that I was holding Joy when the phone rang...I was more alert when we got Gabby..but she's the same way..If I have to go rescue her or pick her up, I set the phone down, FOR SURE!!! LOL!!!

Gabby kinda freaks if hubby has certain hats on..

I guess I am lucky, mine doesn't seem to care too much, I even dyed my hair bright purple (brighter than that text) and he didn't care.

I bet I will find a trigger or two along the way though

Wow - That's exactly what our little green monster does when something is bothering him! Sometimes he will be soooo sweet, then (like some one flipped a switch in his head) he will hold his beak open and make his angry noise, and if I don't quickly set him in his cage, he will attack my fingers. After he's back in his cage, he really starts to squawk. He eventually gets over it though if we don't gratify his behavior.

sorry you got bit, but thanks for the warning.

Yogi hates anything different sad.gif

I have to make sure my hair is:

1. not wet
2. not in a towel
3. not in a hat
4. not in a ponytail
5. not wearing any barrettes or other hair accessories

sheesh.. it's like having the hair fashion police around all the time dry.gif

He missed grabbing for the chain on my neck, and caught skin (ouch). So I tried putting one of the barrettes he despises on the chain. BIG mistake.. he avoided the chain, and grabbed onto my neck. Then scooted up onto the back of the couch voicing his displeasure.

I took the barrette off to avoid ticking him off any further.

Yeah the phone thing here is bad too. Peanut will attack me once I have the phone in hand so if it rings and he's on me I have to put him down first or he'll draw blood every time. My other fids don't care much about the phone though huh.gif

lol holy geez.

I took Yogi's happy hut out today to give the whole thing a good wash.

After it was dried tonight, I put it back in his cage.
When I put him in the hut to go nite-nite, I swear it sounded like he growled at me, then he gave my finger a little pressure bite, and turned his back to me huh.gif

Crazy boy wasn't very appreciative of the cleaning let me tell you hehehhe.

Something tells me maid service won't come with transportation to the hut next time. I'll just let the little guy off at the front door, and dive for cover wink.gif
