Or her name LOL. I haven't gotten my new baby yet but the beau and I have decided to name him/her Petrie after our favorite Land Before Time character. We're heading to a bird show on Sunday. Hopefully we'll find Petrie there.

Wasn't Petri afraid of flying? Man- I have to watch that movie again- it's been so long and my little cousins made me watch the crappy sing-a-long sequels up to like 8 or something. I think they are in the teens with them now

I think he was, I'm not sure though. Actually, I can't remember if Petrie was afraid of flying or if he thought that he couldn't fly or something. Or maybe he was afraid of heights...hmmm..

Looks like I'm going to have to rent the movie this weekend LOL

So...I've got a bad news/good news situation; bad news: no luck at the bird show. The only quakers there were 6-8 months old and WILD!!

Good news: I think I may have found my breeder thanks to Alusdra who reminded me of birdbreeders.com. I've sent them an email and already got a reply. I thought this was cute; they don't refer to their quakers as birds or parrots or w/e, they refer to them as "quaker friends" lol. If all goes as planned we should have our Petrie in a couple weeks! I'm going to ask them for pics of the babies and I'll post them as soon as I get them.

P.S. we went and bought The Land Before Time after our depressing visit to the bird show and discovered that Petrie isn't afraid of flying...he wants to fly very much...he's afraid of heights; he got really scared when Spike, Ducky, and Little Foot (I'm cracking up as I type this by the way LOL) pushed him up into a tree to get the "green food" down off the tree. It's a very cute movie but I must say I wasn't as amused by it as I was when I was 5 LOL.
