Our bird Baby will bob her head up and down real fast, and flap her wings. Is this normal? She seem to stop it after a few minutes. We just brought her home last Saturday and this is something that we haven't taught her. She is young bird.

LOL..yep the baby bob! It's so cute. It's perfectly normal especially if they are very young. We saw a ringneck parrot baby at the bird store and he came up to the glass and was bobbing away..sooooo cute I almost took him/her home. I'm pretty sure I'm right on this one but others can back it up.

yep it is normal. That is what they call "quaking". Is your bird eating and drinking? Sometimes they revert back to a little handfeeding so you need to make sure they are for sure eating and drinking..

The babies bob their heads to be fed but it doesn't always mean they are hungry. We visit some baby red wing macaws and greys that our friend raises and they are always bobbing when we hold them even though their crops are full... I guess you should make sure your baby is eating on its own, and it will grow out of the bobbing... Have fun with you new baby

Yes Baby is eating and driniking. I made sure of that when I brought her home. She been eating three or more times a day from her dish and I saw her drinking for her cup today. She loves carrot. I have gave her one yesterday and today and she sits and eats on it. Thanks for the help.

i just brought home my baby 2 weeks ago sunday... hes only 2 months old.. he did that bob constantly for the first week or so... now he doesnt do it at all anymore i miss it.... it was just so precious...

I know... the baby bobbing is pretty cute! It's cute how they communicate with people, but then they grow up into big birdies and talk and demand things!
