[font=Georgia][color=#3333FF] biggrin.gif Hi there my name is Brandy and I'm new to the group. I was searching for bird info and came across this site. I liked what I saw so decided to join. I currently have 5 dogs (pekingnese, boston terrior, chauhauha mix) 2 domestic cats.. and currently 2 parakeets and a cockatiel. I'm gaining a Quaker Parrot on Saturday the 21st of this month and getting very very anxious to pick him/her up. I an a new bird lover wub.gif My girlfriend got me started. I blame her for my new love, lol. She has a conure and is searching for a Blue and Gold Macaw. She's so bad she will do anything to get one, lol willing to trade whatever she owns haha. I hope she doesn't make me that bad laugh.gif I am a stay at home mom married for well gonna be 11 years in June, and I have a 5 year old son. I hope I can learn many things that will be helpful for my new experience. Thank you for accepting me and I'm glad to be here wink.gif P.S. the cockatiel is my husbands... his name is Mika.

Welcome to the forum to both you and your new boss.

Having a QP to order you around is a totally wonderful experience. My girl came to me three years ago as a rescue from an abusive home and I agreed to keep her only until I found her a good home. Right! Shows you how smart quakers are because she did it for herself. laugh.gif I could never let her go now. In fact, after the first couple of days, I knew she was staying with me because she stopped plucking the day she came into my home. wub.gif
