Good Morning all,
Ok this was wierd, Every morning I have the same routine,
I get up , turn on coffee pot and uncover Buddy and tell him "Good Morning". Usally he's stretching and stuff....but not today as soon as I uncovered him he had this freaked out sense about him. Just as soon as I opened his cage....WHOOSH out he came. WILL NOT even think about being on...around...OR WORSE in his cage!!!! So what gives did my fid have a bad dream????/ unsure.gif sad.gif I want him to be safe and all but afraid of his cage... I dunno what happened. Any advice????

there might be something in it that he doesn't like. dobby gets freaked out about the littlest things. Did you put anything new in the cage? And out of his cage he gets freaked out about scissors, the mop and broom, etc. One time he refused the be placed on the counter because there was a rag on it that he didn't like. I hope it's something simple like this because buying a new cage can be so expensive.

I'm glad you brought up the dreaming though. I wonder sometimes if Dobby has bad dreams. One time he fell off his perch in the middle of the night. I could tell by the sound of fluttering that it really shocked him.

I agree with Birdbluff.....do you leave a night light or something on by where his cage is? Do you completely cover him? I leave an opening at the bottom of Kiwi's cage and I also have a night light on. Was there something new in or by the cage? Just some things to think about.
Jeff
Nothing new in the cage and Buddy is not the night lite kind.
In fact if Apryl and I stay up later than 11:00pm he lets us know if were too loud or if its to lighted. He likes darkness from what I can tell. He does however have mirrors that surround his cage (outside of it) I wonder if a shadow or something spooked him in the nite

Maybe a fly or something like that got in the cage and scared him.

[font=Arial Black]Well what ever it was it seems to be over now. Buddy vey carefully went back inspected..I should have videoed this.... inspected inside and out... looked in every cranny.. Gave his little " its alrite I guess sound".... sounds kinda like a grumpy sigh mad.gif and went back inside on his perch. wacko.gif crazy bird

Hey by the way how do ya'll get the little pics in your messages w/o the enlarge pics

well paulie usually freaks out for the listtlest things. but then again you have to be careful any little creepy crawler or mouse that came within cage range or even entered the cage would freak him out. I never knew we had a mouse till i saw paulie locked onto his cage his eyes wider than usual and watched as the thing ran across the living room. You know i chased that thing out of the house, broom and all..lol

One of my birds is very particular about how things are arranged in his cage.....one wrong placement of a food dish and it's tornado time! Everything gets dumped and whirled around. I thought he was losing his mind but figured it out. He also doesn't like anything red or reddish in color. Did you change what you covered him with? He also doesn't like terry cloth material. He's quite picky!! Whatever it was there had to something he didn't like in there at some point. Glad it's gone now. Just keep any eye on him and look for anything out of the ordinary that might have set him off....even though we might not know what it is at the time there definately is something.

I remember one time there was an ant in Kiwi's bottom tray.....he acted kind of like that. He let it be known he DID NOT like it smile.gif

Georgie had some intruders the other day. Little tiny ants. Of course she wasn't scared. She just tried to eat them.

Maybe it was a spider! Spiders have a way of sneaking around in the dark
