Hi guys!
I was just curious about Hazelnuts, but a few at the Bulk Barn today and was wondering if they one of the "good" nuts or if they are bad in any way. blink.gif They looked like one of the lower fat nuts, but I can't find it on the list of foods provided by this website, and other sites don't seem to mention them that much either. unsure.gif

Thanks! smile.gif

I would bet that that article is referring me to the larger birds who need the added fat.I know the author of that article is a breeder of several different macaws species and is on a macaw forum I visit alot. She is very knowledgeable. But in feeding them to QP's I would not do more then 1-2 a week just because of the fact our littleons areprone to fatty liver smile.gif They could be a sepecial treat smile.gif

I've given Arthur hazelnuts before. He doesn't seem to like them much, prefers pecans and cashews. An occasional hazelnut as a treat (if your fid likes them) is fine as far as I know.
