I have always FELT that Kiwi was a boy........he has never been dna'd, but not to worry if he turned out to be a girl......when I had my cockateil I would always say she was a good girl. So Kiwi picked up, Kiwi's a good boy and Kiwi's a good girl. Of course I use to tell Kiwi that he wasn't a girl........Are you going to have Cheeky DNA'D, Janet?
Dark Angel
The only way I knew mine was a male was because he was dna tested. Awww but cheeky was a good girl getting her nails done etc....mine always seem to be difficult maybe its a boy thing (g)

We have a cockatoo that insists he's a good girl, but he's definitely a boy! ITs funny

I had always felt Georgie was a girl. But the previous owners said they thought she was a boy. So when I got her, she would say "Good boy" or "pretty boy."

DNA proved her a girl and we still hear "Pretty boy" "good boy" all the time from her.

a friend of mine in my Bird Club told me that Ozzy is a boy and Robbie is a girl the way there heads are shaped....any input to that?
gypsygal
Well...I know that when my macaws are side by side there is a definite difference in the head shape between her and him.His is more square and hers is more rounded. But then I have the two to compare to each other. To look at another bird and say...well that head shape looks like a female..thats not really too easy nor acurate.

We've always called my grand bird Molly she. SHE is DNAd male!! But he will always be SHE/HER. SHE doesn't care what we call her, as long as we don't call her late for dinner! biggrin.gif
