If he's not eating, they may want to hospitalize him and givage feed him (Tube feed)(unless you can hand feed) it's a good way for them to get their strength back, but if they do it's best to bring them home for the night if possible so they don't get stressed out by being away from home on top of being ill.
Sending good thoughts his way

Well I'm sorry it has taken me so long but here is an update on Gordon Cooley. He has metal in his stomach that's why he hasn't been eating how he got the metal i have no idea his toys aren't anything he can't have... I have no idea where he got it from everything is safe for him to have i double checked everything so I don't know how. Anyway i'm having to feed him baby food everyday mixed with penut butter and metamucil.
He's birthday is next month and I feel horrible about how he looks right now and I wish i could fix him he's not my happy little green stud anymore and it's breaking my heart.
Thank you for all of your support

Hi, I guess they did an X-ray and saw something that they think Gordon Cooley will be able to pass? Has to be something really small and smooth, then, like a bead almost. That may give you an idea as to what it might be. Did you see the X-ray? Anyway, will keep my fingers crossed. Don't you wish that you could raise your hands or whatever and just magically make them well again, eh?

hmmmm....so are they hoping this piece of metal will pass through or are they going to do surgery to get it?
Poor little guy, hope everything turns out for the best.
Ask the vet about using instant ounces in the baby food...it adds extra calories and helps them put weight back on.
We're pulling for Gordon Cooley....come on little buddy...hang in there

Thinking of Gordon Cooly and wishing him well. I'm not sure how true this is, but since your vet recommended peanut butter, someone once told me peanut butter is good for getting metal out of a birds system. It binds to it and then they can pass it. This person feeds thier birds a little bit of peanut butter often.

So sorry to hear about Gordon Cooley. Lord knows where they pick this stuff up. Loco insists on taking Mrs. hair clips out and apart. It gets darned hard to tell if he actually gets anyhting down his gullet or not.
To G.C. I'll use a quote..."This too shall pass."...hopefully.

Thank you all very much. He's talking once a week. I did see his x-ray and it does look like a bead but the vet said it may be meatl the bead I could go along with because he did break one of his rope toys and they had beads on them so...but he's still being feed just like the vet said and he hasn't passed it yet. I feel so bad for the little guy.
