I have learned my lesson! This is the second time this has happened. I was drinking coffee and, of course, not giving any to Dobby. This puts him in a very bad mood! I mean really bad! He tries to bite me for the rest of the day.

I think I'm going to pay for it today.

LOL!
I usually give mine some juice while I am drinking my coffee and it seems to pacify him. It looks so horrible the way I serve him it tho I have these little shot glasses that I have gotten from just about everywhere I have been and he sips out of one of those on the table.

"Irish breakfast" eh? That's a great idea, actually, using a little shot glass- have to be careful to clean it first, though, I suppose...

I use one too! They are great! For some reason the coffee really makes him mad. He still hasn't forgiven me. I think it's the warm beverage. He likes the feel of the mug. I drink herbal tea a lot and give him some so I must have encouraged this behavior. Now no matter what I drink in front of him, it reminds him of what I did this morning and he gets mad all over again.
Aaaaagh, we're having roomate fights!

LOL! I had something very similar happen with Frankie. He sees me with my coffee every morning and thinks he should be allowed to have some ... so I started putting some warm water in a coffee mug on his play gym, and he sidles right on up to it each morning and sips away while I sit and drink my coffee and talk to him and Isabelle! Too funny! The just want to be like the rest of the flock in the house!

I always hear not to give them coffee but Morgan has drank coffee every morning for the last 11 years and everytime he goes to the vet I am told that he is one very healthy bird.

Wow! Your kidding me? Actually I've read that on here before so I will be bold and ask my next question...
How bad is it to let your birds drink from your glass? Do I need to worry about germs? If I'm drinking juice or something like that, I sometimes tilt the glass and let him have a sip.

I don't know if it is bad or not but Morgan does drink out of my glass.

Uh Oh! LOL! Don't let him drink out of your glass if he's been eating. especially if he has food on his beak.

LOL..I have to fight with Jojo if I'm holding him while drinking coffee. He will reach over and grab my cup and pull it to him. He LOVES coffee, even though I don't let him have any. It's the only food or beverage he does that with though.

one of those little mugs from A & W would be perfect, if they still sell them. I think they are / were like 99 cents or something

The small A & W mugs are a great idea. I bet they're classics by now. I'll check ebay!
