Today was the first day I've ever had to discipline Cricket. It almost broke my heart!

The evening started off great. He's starting to practice his talking. I think I finally figured out what he's been trying to say. He actually practiced with me talking to him through the cage instead of when I'm out of the room. I think he's trying to say "give me kiss" with kissy sounds afterwards.

I took him out and he moved from my shoulder to walking on the desk back to my shoulder. I've been letting him sit on my head. *i know, i know... shoulder and head are bad news*

We usually don't have any problems but today he started pulling my hair, not preening but pulling. I put my hand up and asked him to stop. After three times I put him in his cage. I waited 5 minutes and brought him back out and up to my head he went.

He started pulling again and I told him no again. He didn't stop so back to his cage he went. This time kicking and screaming so I put the cover on his cage. I didn't take it off until he stopped screaming.

I brought him out again. Kept him on my shoulder for awhile and let him back up on my head. Now he's being a perfect angel.

I didn't know parronting would be so hard!
