Hello,
So Ava chews on everything, my finger nails, my clothes, my skin, everything. It dosnt hurt but it is kind of annoying. I am also afraid that it will progress into hard biting. she is like ADD bird. Evertime i am holding her and trying to talk or play with her she starts chewing and dosnt pay attention. I have tried earth quakes, time outs, telling her no, and pushing into it. nothing works. Any suggestions or new ideas would be helpful.

Ha! It's just begun. It's very natural for a bird to chew on EVERYTHING! Brady loves to give me a manicure..lol..and loves to preen my hair..and nibble my ears...hrmmm if only he were humane the hubby might have a run for his money! He also thinks he can take lettering and buttons off shirts.

Nugget is just obsessed with my a few moles on my neck. He seems to think he can remove them. OUCH!

I'm not really sure you can do much more than you already are..just keep at it..maybe some others will have ideas. I don't mind really..just the mole thing hurts but I deal with it and just tell him no no!

Does she have plenty of toys to chew? Maybe strips of paper and other fun things to destroy..maybe get it out of her system a bit. It is spring so they are a bit hyper so maybe she will settle down. Is she a baby? That could be some of it too. Good luck!

Milo does that too, It does get annoying because sometimes he tries to chew and ends up biting instead...he likes the cuticles near my finger nails...I say its Milo's Manicure time , not sure how to discourage her chewing on things if its not destructive I wouldn't worry about it
