hey there, quaker-lovers. the name's sarah, and my babe's name is Jack [aka jack-jack...it's a two syllable thing with me, i don't know]. I've always been an avian lover, and when my cockatiel tragically passed away a little over two years ago, the void just couldn't be filled. i went to petsmart in October of 2005, where I immediately fell in love with the little green balls of fluff. But alas, i didn't have $200 to hand over, so mom bought me a dove instead. doves are beautiful, yeah, but they're not exactly lovey-dove [no pun intended] birds, and when i change from my Cockatiel of 6 years to a bird that just sits there and coos, it's not a smooth transition at all.
so i saved up. and a few weeks later [i had my 16th birthday party and in came the flow of cash!], i bought Jack.
I've had him for a year and a half now, and i'm still learning the whole "you've got a parrot!" deal, but it's coming along
