i noticed,

in the past few weeks, that paulie has been preening alot more than usual. he takes baths regularly, i have a humidifier on in his room. He eats pellets normally has about 50 toys which i rotate regularly. and i Spoil him regularly, he has a few chewed feathers on his chest. I give him a daily inspection, and it seems he;s getting alittle worse

Im thinking its time paulie makes a visit to his Favorite vet DR. Andreou.. Unless anyone else has a suggestion???????????

do you remember making any drastic changes? I don't use humidifiers for my birds and never have......is there such a thing as too much humidity? What kind of humidifier are using? If it has an inonizer in it, that is not good. Another member (Twizzie's Mom) bought one and Twizzie was plucking within minutes after the humidifier was plugged in. It might have been an air cleaner, I can't remember. But they also make humidifiers with ionizers in them. Just a thought

well i know my humidifer doesn have the ionizer on it. (wayy too expensive..lol) the brand name is Vicks (like the vapor rub) As for any changes, um.. I have been arguing a bit with hubby for the past few weeks on and off. i try to keep it in one area where he cant hear anything, but i usually go to him after i stopped arguing, you think he's picking up on my distress?

If so then for Paulie's sake i think a marriage counselor is the next step. I think i've hit the bunpy road all married people talk about in the 2nd or 3rd year. Im in my 2nd year. so uh yeah

I have heard that our birds "pick up" on our emotions. I am not an expert and you probably should see a Vet, but if the plucking started just lately and you have been arguing and it is upsetting you, that could be the problem. I really don't know. I always err on the side of caution and make a vet visit. JMO
