Is it unusual for a QP to drink excessive amounts of water? Also everything it eats gets water dunked first. Even alot of toys go in the water. Sure does urinate alot. Mostly clear, sometime alittle yellow. Eats and acts fine.

Hmmmm. I have noticed that Buzz has been in the water ALOT since it got hot down here. Maybe it has to do with your areas temp? Not too sure about the dunking-booth behavior with toys, but Im willing to bet hes just playing. Maybe a more advanced member can shed more light here......

If its warm where you are its pretty normal for birds to want to hydrate more often. Yet its always a good idea to make sure foods you are feeding them dont contain excessive amounts of sodium which also can cause excessive thirst and isnt good for them.
Just keep an eye on your bird all the same and if you notice any other changes a trip to your vet might be in order.
in re to bird droppings I was looking for the chart but couldnt find it but this is a good explanation of what to look for in parrot droppings
Parrot droppings have three components:
1) the toothpaste consistency fecal matter in the center that may be a greenish color or the color of whatever the bird has been eating;
2) the urates which are usually just a little more moist than the fecal matter; and
3) the surrounding liquid wastes called urine. A bappy who has been weaned to a varied, nutritious diet will have droppings that reflect the various foods the bird has been eating. Healthy droppings do not necessarily look like the classic alien fried egg photos in many books. For example, yams and carrots may create a brownish-orange dropping, beets and berries make the poop reddish, and broccoli droppings are green. Fruit and some veggies can cause droppings that reflect their liquid content. These are wetter than normal but still healthy. Droppings that are excessively watery or contain undigested food matter are usually a sign of a problem. Droppings in which the normally white urates appear pasty and lime-greenish can be an indication of chlamydophila (psittacosis). Any consistent change in droppings not related to food intake should be discussed with an avian veterinarian as soon as it is noticed.

I'm concerned about the 'urine'. Birds don't just 'pee' like we do. It is a mixture of poop and pee (sorry for the 'technical terms

).
There should most definately be a solid part to your birds droppings. If there is no solid part then get your bird into an avian vet asap because it could be a sign of illness.

I would probably go to an avian vet, just be sure. It could be nothing, but nothing can replace the peace of mind of KNOWING that your bird is just a water baby. Once a bird is sick enough to show it in their behavior, it can be too late.
However, just to reassure you a bit, my boyfriends black headed caique LOVES water. He dunks ALL his food in it (sometimes not even to eat, just to play) and ALL his foot toys. We have to change to three times a day and even then we can't keep up with him. He just think that water is the NEATEST thing ever!

Sometimes a more liquid based dropping can be the signs of stress. But as others have said, if you've been feeding your guy more water based foods like melon and that type of thing then it's pretty common to see a little more urine with each elimination...but its always best to check with a vet to be sure. If its every dropping and its been going on for several days with out change in food then I'd definitely be getting him checked out.

Boo dunks all his food in water also. Sometimes I do find toys in the bowl as well. When I am not going to be around the house as often I replace the water bowl with a bottle. When Boo uses the bottle his stool is much more solid. Sometimes his stool is very watery when he has been dunking his food. I agree with the others, a trip to the vet would set your mind at ease.
