Hi everyone. Dian's bird got out It is clipped but was still able
to fly away down a steep hill and into the woods. It made it thru
the night. Its a super thick brush area that you need macheties to
get thru. IT made it thru the night. THye need peple to help find
him. They can hear him. No other people like the fire department
will help. She is pleading for help Its a real remote are that is
hard to get into.

Does he have a favorite toy that makes noise? Sit out in plain site with the toy and rattle it...and call him...if his cage is portable enough take it with you and set it where it can be seen then just sit and wait. Keep rattling the toy and see if you can coax him into coming out. Remember he's frightened...So who ever he responds to the best at home should be the one calling him....if you can hear him, he can hear you, obviously....

oh no. how terrible to be able to hear him but not be able to get to him.

I know what you feel like as my bird flew away on Saturday
luckly I found him after many hours of looking. I kept listening for him until I knew I was close then just searched
the area and found him. As someone already said bring out his toys and make noise but also bring some of his favorite treats
so when you find him you can get him to come to you.

oh I just wish we could hear the good news or something!

Is the problem that they can't get into the brush? Or do they have the impression that Rocco got stuck? Is there an animal rehab of other kind of wildlife center in the area? They may have some practical ideas.
