I have two quakers in the same cage. Pickles and Kiwi. Kiwi is always preening Pickles. Kiwi has gotten a little out of hands sometimes, she preens him a little too much and too hard and he is looking a little ratty. I have caught her doing this too him and he looks like he is enjoying it tho. His eyes are closed and he looks relaxed. He just looks a little ratty now tho. To my husband I it appears that they do like each other and get a long. I don't know if we should move them away from each other. So is this normal? blush.gif tongue.gif

I am sure that both enjoy grooming each other but there are times where separation might be in order especially if one is overgrooming the other so much there are bald patches or to rephrase it one is plucking the other. If that is the case or you suspect its beginning to happen you can just separate them and have them out to play together.

Yeah we decided today to separate them. We got Pickles a new cage!
