I was so excited about finally bringing my new Quaker home this weekend. She seemed like the perfect bird. I just got an e-mail from the lady saying that when she got home yesterday her husband had sold her to someone else. What a huge let down.

Yes, I know there are plenty available, the problem is none seem to be available in state and I'm not sure about shipping animals because the last time I did it I got completely scammed.

that really sucks! I wouldn't be buying from that person......doesn't seem they are very trustworthy, or husband and wife are not on the same page..........
Buy from Miss Andie, you won't be sorry (not sure if she has any birds available tho

I'm sorry to hear about your not getting the quaker you had chosen ... however as others mentioned, there are many available! I am certain Andie would be a stellar breeder to buy from ... just a thought ...

GOOD luck with finding one. i know what you mean about bonding with a bird and it getting sold to someone else. had it happen to me last year. i still think about the bird.

i was so hurt!!! as others have said it was not meant to be. i just hope he got a great home and that the time i spent with him made his life a little better.
i could get attached to a peice of buttler. lol

Sounds to be like it was a money issue...hurry and get the bird sold, and non-communication between the husband and wife..
So, it may be for the best..maybe something could have happened to that particular bird and you were spared that...
I am sure if you get one from Andie you would get a good bird...

Did you try http://www.birdsnway.com ? Go to their website and click on breeders, then put in your state, it will take you to all the breeders listed in your state and each has a ad on what they breed, some have websites, all have e-mails and you can contact them. I wish I could help I am on the NC/SC border but the breeder pair I got don't seem to be co-operating
. Good luck and keep us posted, I know how frustrating it can be. I don't believe I would have anything more to do with the other breeder, something just doesn't sound right there.
