Our Toby was a slow talker and I thought he never would say anything. All of a sudden bam-he started and hasn't shut up since. Keep talking and singing to him and eventually he'll come around when you least expect it. Talk to him just like he was a person, about what you're doing, what he's doing, etc. They don't care too much about the news!! HAHA. Good luck. Sandy-Toby's mom

I got Buttons at a year old and she hadn't gotten much interaction at her other home. I started talking to her and she'll listen and mimic my cockatiel but not me. And she doesn't say much. Some just don't. But you could get a surprise one day and they'll just bust out talking and never shut up. Good luck!
