Well I got ahold of the lady who gave her to me and she said she is down sizing and cant take her. If you are down sizing why are you getting larger birds? mad.gif She just purchased a scarlet macaw! Any way I have taken some of you advise on my last post. I have moved her away from the window. It helps a little with the screaching. smile.gif Maybe she is hearing the other birds out side. Also I was trying to switch her to pellets which was probably to soon after the move so I will save it and try again when she is more settled. I dont want to get rid of her I love her to much. And you know the lady who gave her to me said maybe I should be giving her more attention and she wouldnt act like that. First of all I have her in our living room where when I am in there I talk to her and I let her out when my daughter isnt up. (about 3 times aday for 2+ hours). Any way I just want to thank you all for your advise. If you have any more suggestions on how to make this transision easier for the both of us feel free to give them to me. And Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there! smile.gif

hey i just had a question. you said you had kiwi in the living room. well my husband said that he had read that you should not have your birds where their is a lot of traffic going through because it will scare you birds. not for sure if this true.

Actually my QP is in the middle of traffic too and it helps her feel like she's more involved in family life when I don't have time to interact with her much on certain days. I've read it both ways.

Since Kiwi is in the living room (as is my quaker and green cheek)do you have a set bedtime for Kiwi? Angel and Shrek get covered, the lights and tv turned down at 9 pm everynight. They tend to be nicer if they get atleast 10 hours a night. If not they turn ornery and screechy.

I just know my QP would be to upset if we had them in the living room.
