I read it straight through without any hesitation. Just as fast as if it was written right.

In elementary school, my teacher hung that up on the wall on a poster. It was so fascinating how some kids had trouble reading it and others zipped through it. Personally, it is extremely easy for me. I probably would read it slower if the letters were in the right place. Lol.

The Proofreader's Nightmare! The problem is that we don't read words, we recognise them. As that experiment shows all too clearly, it's very easy to let typos slip into a book, even though it's been proofed several times.

I read it no problems- except for 'tuo' instead of 'out' as that is a word, isn't it? Or maybe I'm hallucinating... But usually I can catch more spelling mistakes from word shape than anything, odd fonts really mess with my brain... like this church on my bus route- it's supposed to be 'greater grace' but the g is big to be for both words and the font is one of those fancy c's so it really looks like 'greater rage'

I've seen that before or something simular when I was taking my masters reading courses but I think it's fascinating! That definitely explains why I've never been good at proofing my own work!

What's scary is that we CAN all read it!! It should be a lot harder than it was. That's why I have to use my spell check (when I remember) because I was taught in high school to speed read and can't proofread! If I read a book that I really enjoyed I will go back and read it 2 or 3 times and learn something new out of it everytime that I missed. LOL Good one Majj, very interesting too the results!
