ive had Kai for about two weeks now,
he's been making some noises here and there, but today hecaught me totally off guard..lol He started making kissy noises I even saw him do it.. lol Paulie was playing with Tilly and Kai was sitting on the corner, he put his head up and just started making kissy noises. it was pretty cool totally unexpected..lol
but i notice everyone once in a blue he seems to do the quaking thing, either when he's playing with paulie or trying to get my attention. he'd bop his head up and down and lightly flapping his wings. He's been eating normally and enjoying his toys. i was just wondering if your qp's stil do it. he's only five months old. and he eats his rowdybush, some zupreem and a small cup of seeds and treats. I make sure he's been eating his food and everything so. ?anyone?
bump..lol

my Mr. Kiwi doesn't quake anymore for anybody....LOL...however Betty's Bobbie bobs her head and another member on here their quaker bobs their head. I am thinking that is excitement or happiness. I could be wrong.....Gee if that is what it means then I hope my Mr. Kiwi is happy.....just kidding.....

i think you may be right its either that or he is associating me with treats..lol he is getting better with the handling but still tries to fly. he doesnt bite at all thank god. he allows me to pet him and give him little kisses on the head, though he stands stiff as a board the first time i tried. now he just looks at me like- oh this is nice, no wonder paulie likes it .

My quaker pablo quakes alot. If im in the kitchen he quakes if i accidentally bang a pan on the stove or drop a lid etc. I think its excitement. Also, if we wave at him sometimes he will quake.) Also, hes been quaking as he nudges my hand. I have just asked a question about this behavior. Idont have any idea how old my little pablo is, since my grandma found him in her back yard. So, i hope he continues doing this cute dance for a long time. (;

My Pooder still quakes, but we have worked to keep him doing it. He's a little over a year and will quake when we start the "Go Pooder, Go Pooder". He still purrs as well.
I read a while back that the quaking will usually stop by the time they are a year old. So, the kids and I started getting really excited when Pooder would quake. We then taught him to associate the "Go Pooder" chant with the quaking. Now, the only time he won't do it is if there's someone new in the house (unless he immediately likes them).
