[font=Book Antiqua][size=2]The other day I let Wicket(the quaker) and Ollie(the daddy dove) along with my two parakeets, Sweet Pea(girl) and Lightening(boy) out of their cages to play. Wicket and the "Keets" have been buds for a while. That day Ollie decided to give the gang a try. Have you ever seen this happen?

Which picture makes you think that? The ladder may be a little soiled, other than that you can't really see their cage/home.

I think comments like that should be kept to ones self.

It's great that they all get along so well....but I'm sure you don't leave them unsupervised.....

I have to agree about the "comments"

I kept thinking gee...is it just me or does this happen to everone when I clean the fids cages the moment they go back in them they have to give me a complimentary poop. Your birds look lovely and I was curious as I have never really had doves before..can you handle them?
Donna07
Of course I do not leave them alone. I am very cautious each time I let them out. Even if I only let one species out at a time, I know there are risks.

Yes, doves can be handled too. They are not as affectionate as parrots but they will bond to you just the same. They do like to be with their people. Lonesome will sit on my head, arm & leggs. She also likes to help me type.

Here are a few pictures. (Hopefully I haven't done anything wrong in them.)
I can also handle the babies and my pair do not mind.

Oh look at those ugly/cute little babies!!! wub.gif

A friend has doves and she says they DO love being with ppl .. although not as interactive as our parrots, after all, doves don't talk, but her house has those lovely cooing sounds most of the time ... I find that a lot more soothing than the screeching of my fids!! laugh.gif

Beautiful fids!
