When I get her out, she screams as I've said. She cried last night after I fed her some formula and she didn't want much. Anyway, I've learned that when she gets on my head, she gets quiet. I fell asleep earlier and she stayed there. I think it's so funny.

That sounds so cute... I love it, when my birds snuggles under my hair. When Shrek goes on top of my head, it feels like someone is braiding my hair.

We need to be careful, though... Hair can be tangled in the bird's feet, and can get very hard to untangle. I know a lady, who had to cut her hair off, and then painstakingly untangle the bird.

I was doing some repairs on Dakoda's legs (my old man had arthritis) one day and Sylvia was hanging out on my shoulder as I was working on him... I was so intent (and scared out of my mind I was going to forever cripple my poor baby) that hour(s?) passed. She was so quiet I totally forgot she was up there until she gave a little shake and I almost jumped out of my skin- a tricky business when sitting on the floor! Thankfully Dakoda's leg was pretty much back together at that point, else I may have lost a crucial gear.

Excellent pointer, Lene. I know of a few people as well who have had to cut their hair to get their bird out.

On another note, Angela, please don't fall asleep with your bird out of her cage and even worse, on you. That is just asking for trouble. It only takes one movement and you could crush your baby.

OK, thanks. I didn't mean to drift off but I had taken my medicine and it knocked me out. I will try not to let it happen again.

tilly loves to be cuddled under my chin, paulie also preens my hair but when hes in a mood he will pull your hair..lol
