Bogey is 10 weeks old. He's weaned, and wasn't rushed at all. Cheri doesn't ever push them to wean, she does the abundance weaning. She explained that he was still getting one hand feeding a day - BUT - it's from a spoon! And each time I've offered it in the evening, he doesn't want it! He tastes it, maybe takes 3 bites, and that's it.
I got updates every couple of days & pictures! It made the waiting a bit more bearable! Cheri also gives the new parronts a small photo album of the baby they're taking home, as well as a notebook full of foods to give & avoid, tips, care & maintenance guidelines, first aid kit supplies list, etc. She gave me food to take with me, the baby formula he gets from the spoon, some corn & broccolli, and birdie bread! I didn't have to get anything extra right away.
She's just incredible. It's not about breeding and selling for her, she genuinely cares about the babies & who gets them. I had to pass quite an interview/test to be approved to get a baby from her! And I had done so much research on Quakers. I wouldn't have it any other way though, I know I have a special Quaker from a special breeder! He's even used to little ones because Cheri has a 4 yr old. It was a perfect fit for us! And I'm her biggest fan!
He was totally worth the drive! I'd do it again 10 times over! These guys just steal your heart!
