Ekko quickly picked up the squeaky of a dog toy being squeaked over and over and over.....
Funny thing tho... he gets annoyed when the dog is actually squeaking the toy...lol!

For me, when Pooder does his alarm screech when he sees the carving of Godzilla that hubby did, I want to pull my hair out. And, the sad part of it is that it's not even his screech...it's Mango's. Silly fid, but he really hates that thing!

Casey is a riot......They sure can pick up on some of the weirdest sounds but so far I haven't heard any from Harley yet....
It seems someone else posted awhile back about a noise that got their attention and had to check it out and then realized it was the fid....
Gotta love the quaker....

Boo is very good at imitating sounds. If I cough or sneeze he makes a similar coughing sound. I've been teaching him the 'I'm a little quaker' song and yesterday he said the first line. I started laughing and then he made the same laugh sound. The more I laughed, the more he did.Of course when someone else is in the room he sits there quiet, with a dumb look on his face. They are soooo cute.

Horatio has learned a strange cry almost like a baby crying (no babies in our house or even visiting so where he heard it I don't know) which he employs when you leave the room and the normal flock call has not brought you back, then he will try this one. It usually works since it is sooo annoying

It took me a while to figure out this one. Toby was making little chirpy sounds (I know normal, right?)-wrong, He was making the sounds of the bubbles bursting when I would ripple his bath water! Too funny!!

Casey does the coughing and sneezing too! When we first got her someone in the house had a cold and that was the first thing she ever picked up! Now she does it constantly... if she even sees you reaching towards your mouth, she will cough!

Of course laughing is contagious for her too!
I tell people all about her weird sounds and all the things she can say but just like Boo, if someone comes into the house she is silent and makes us look crazy!

Hubby has electric clipper that make a sharp noise when you turn them on and off. Charlie can make that sound.
At our old house we had a screened in porch that Charlie's cage used to sit on when the weather was nice. One night I came home and as I was unlocking the door I heard the door behind me squeak open. I turned but there was no one there. Freaked me out. Took a few days but we figured out it was Charlie.

My QP makes the sound of my slippers hitting the tile floor. When he wants me to come back into the room he makes this swish swish sound like feet walking on the floor.

Gabby isn't a quaker but she makes some funny sounds...the one that made us run into the room was the weather alert that comes on the TV when there is bad weather coming..we were in the other room and both said, "I didn't know there was bad weather out there!" went running into the den and there was no special alert on the TV...that's when Gabby did it again..LOL!!! then another thing is our smoke alarm..if she smells smoke,OR if I open the back door, which I do if I burn something, she automatically thinks there's smoke.LOL!!) she makes the sound..very annoying..
WHen Dixie, my female Westie barks, my husband makes a loud whistle (I call it a MAN whistle) and then yells, "DIXIE!"...now, when Dixie barks, Gabby whistles just like Gene and yells, "DIXIE!"..LOL!! they are SO funny..

Too funny, Sandy! Frankie does the same thing! He also imitates the smoke alarm chirp when the batteries need to be replaced. I swear, I spent an hour checking each of them in the house before I figured out it was Frankie!

Buttons insists on mimicking my cockatiel. She sings his songs, makes the typical cockatiel calls and sounds and chirps and even tells Cooper how much she loves him because he says "I love you Cooper" because I say it to him. Buttons thinks she's a green cockatiel. She's also a tattle-tale by the way. She screams when Cooper flies off his cage and walks around on the floor. It's my alarm to know that Coop is somewhere he shouldn't be.

Shah's coughing and laughing drive me nuts sometimes because he just goes on and on and on. People say "oh, he sounds just like you" which is really scarey. We were at the vet on Sat for his 6 monthly check up and this guy comes in and starts coughing - you guessed it - Shah starts coughing. It was really embarrassing - I just pretended he wasnt with me which was kind of difficult seeing as I had my finger in his cage and he had his foot on my finger.

Too funny. We play games with Hemingway- one of them being peek-a-boo (an all-time quaker favorite). To prep him, I would say "wanna play a game? Ready?".. well now if he even thinks you might be walking his way he's yelling, "READY? READY?" Little green turkey. From all over the house we're hearing, "READY?" When I respond, "No.. I'm not ready." He says, "C'mere. Ready??" AHHH!!

My Quaker George loves heated vegetables from the microwave. He started associating the sound of the microwave "beep" with "Oh, now I am gonna get a treat". So now whenever he wants some good veggies, he makes the "beep" just like the microwave. It cracks me up. I love showing my friends.

My quaker, Reep's cage is right by a window. Last summer he started making the sounds of the little hawks we have flying around. It is kind of a whistle. It was really neat. This summer we have blue jays that nested in a tree right outside Reep's window. Now we get to listen to not only the blue jays squawk but Reep doing it also.

I havent really noticed any odd sounds coming from Little Chicken, except right before he purrs, he has to snort really loudly, first..... I love that sound. It's so cute, and then I always know to expect the little purrs that come with it.

Poppy snorts when he is happy too, no purrs though. Maddie makes the pop top sound. If I get a drink of any type (even coffee) and she sees it, the can opens! Or if I am packing a cooler. I am thinking she is an adult child of alcoholics from her last home, lol!

Billy? Make wierd noises? WHERE DO I START?! I think my favorite is his "cleaning noise". When any one of us would scrub the floor he would follow us on the countertop. When you scrub a certain spot it makes a squeaky noise... same when you clean a window... So he would rub his beak on the counter "scrubbing it" and then would make the squeaky noises... what a weirdo

Puppy doesn't do sound effects, but her most annoying sound is to say, "Jesus loves you." Doesn't seem like it would be all that annoying does it? Well it is VERY annoying when my husband and I are in the bedroom

. She thinks that's the perfect time to say, "Jesus loves you," over and over again. But wait, it's even funnier than you think... my husband is growing his hair long to donate it to locks of love, has always had a nice goatee, and right now he looks a lot the the iconic picture of Jesus.
Nibbler is my sound effects Quaker. He does nail clipping, keyboard typing, popping bubble wrap, jiggling the toilet handle, and cats scratching in the litter box. That one is my least favourite. He imitates that one perfectly, all the way down to number two hitting the bottom of the box. Nibbler also does an assortment of farts with varying lengths and degrees of wetness.
So, what's the prize for most annoying sound? Nibbler says he wants his own litter box.

Well, even though he's not a quaker, and from what I understand, he's not doing it any more...But I think Sidney KathyC's U2 made a very annoying sound when he lived at Andie's...it sounded like an alarm clock beeping or a back up warning signal on heavy equipment...BEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP and he'd go on for HOURS at a time....
And my own birds least favorite is my Citrons Flock call ARGH...
