welcome to the flock
expect to feel love
unconditional pure love
and have mushy moments
expect that your non bird loving friends will eyeroll that you carry tons of photos of your bird that you will refer to as fid

Thank you. Happy to be part of the flock. I just have to ask this though...whats a fid?

If you want a bird that is easily trained i dont think a quaker is up your alley for that. They can be trained to do simple things. Large birds are the ones that can do all the other big tricks, bu you will love your quaker.
really? so quakers arnt easily trained? only simplr things? well thats disappointing. I'm really excited so i will love my bird anyways regardless of what it can do. Theres this lady who has a quaker parrot and her bird can do crazy things. It picks up this baby doll and puts the doll in this mini baby carriage and pushes the doll in the stroller.

Now thats a trick.

Welcome to the forum!

You will soon find out this place is quite addicting and will begin to consume all of your time!

Sorry to hear about Dante.
Quakers are definitely amazing birds and you will soon find out how fun they can be. The best way to learn things, I find, is to go through the archives and read though past posts. If you have any questions, before or after your Q arrives, then feel free to ask away, everyone is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!

I believe the best piece of advice you could get about Quakers is
Patience is key.
Do you have any names picked out yet or are you waiting to see what the little green chicken will be like?
Welcome!
Thanks. I miss Dante but look very forward to having my Quaker.

I have some names picked out and i have pretty much decided but i will also wait till i get the little one. I really liked Beckham or Hunter. What you think? You have any ideas?
