Hi All, My QP Monkey is doing good. I have him a week now. I am the third owner. He is settleing in well. I moved him in front of the big window to get more light and air and to watch the comings and goings of other creatures. He is chattering and bobbing and flapping his wings. quite busy.
I heard a noise and he was biting his cage. Looking out. and there were chickens, hen and roosters out side. (they belong to the owner of this trailer park)
He was watching them chattering and biting the cage. He wanted to go out.?? When I covered that side of the cage he was confused but could still hear them. listening to them.
I was afraid he would hurt his beak, Is that possible? He has not ventured out of his cage yet. He likes his cage. I guess he will when he is ready, but not to visit with chickens.
.
I hope my picture comes thru.
This is monkey.

The pic didnt come thru. I dont think it will hurt its beak unless it is vigorously biting it. What size is the cage?

So long as there is nothing on the cage itself (no sharp edges) the chances of him hurting himself are slim. smile.gif

Glad to hear Monkey is adjusting well!

Actually, in front of a big window isn't the best place especially for a new bird. I have read, and it works for me, for the cage being in the corner of the room where most of the family activity is..they are out of the traffic and still in the room..3 sides are protected from "predators"....birds are always on the look-out for predators and this way there are only 2 sides to watch...

I am sure he will adjust well...
