Ok - here is the deal

Make a toy for your fid or any fid -

1. You must use leather, wood and plastic - any thing else is optional but should be easy to find

2. There is no limit to the size but it has to be bird safe and usable

3. be as creative as you like - one entry per person though

at the end if you used anything "unusual" please be willing to post where you got it from so others can find if the want.

all entries should be posted by July 31st

I agree!! A lot of members just use the 'view new posts' button. So if someone hasn't responded to a post, it won't show when a member is using the 'view new posts' button.

I'm one of those members that uses the 'view new posts' button. I really don't have the time to go looking through ALL the forums for posts, so this feature works awesome for me

LOL Those are better than mine. I did make a toy but its a monstrosity and I am sort of embarassed to share it. My fids are all in bed now or I would take a pic of the one I made. Maybe tomorrow but dont laugh too hard at my attempt.

I have to post my pic - between computer issues,camera problems and general chaos I haven't had a chance to get it posted. I'll get it on here in the morning.

ok my monstrosity I resized it for those that have slow connections dont laugh too much at my lack of creativity but the birds seem to like them.

Who cares what it looks like! Theyll all be destroyed in 10 good quaker minutes.

my toys aren't all that creative either, but the boys love em and that's all that really matters anyways

Okay but please be sure to post pictures and instructions for us less talented people. I make toys and all he does is poop on them. I swear, sometimes he even laughs.

Wow, since so many people are showing interest in doing this again, What if we say the deadline this time is for Sept 5. And lets change it just a little so that there are 2 catagories... One for just toys and one for play gyms and play stands since it's kind of hard to compare a play stand to a toy.

Make the projecsts due by Sept. 5 2008 and they need to have photo's and directions on how it was made and parts list with the entry...how's that?

And who is going to be the judge...Or do we need a judge?

hmm... sounds great.. I love the idea of the seperate categories.. we havn 't got around to making a playstand yet

gonna have to do some serious brainstorming as the most creative i've had time for lately is quick lil shredding and foraging toys.. nothing that takes more then five mins lol
